Addie "Janie" Langston Proctor, 83, of 12738 NC Highway 43 North, Rocky Mount, NC, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in her home where she was cared for by her family.
Mrs. Proctor was born in Greene County on November 30, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Henry Langston Sr. and Lillian Rouse Langston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Proctor Jr.; her brothers, Henry Langston Jr. and Donnie Hue Langston, and her sister, Lucille Jones.
Surviving are her children, Mark Proctor (wife, Cathy) and Mike Proctor (wife, Liz), both of Rocky Mount; one brother, Danny Langston, of Wilson, and one sister, Jean Minshew, of Raeford. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Brittney Proctor, Bradley Proctor, Emma Proctor, and George Proctor.
In accordance with her wishes, a private burial is planned, and she will be buried next to her husband in the Proctor Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the home of Mark and Cathy, 12768 NC Highway 43 North, Rocky Mount, NC and family and friends may visit at this time.
