With profound sadness, we share the unexpected passing of Caitlin Ann Hodges. Caitlin, 29, of Crystal Lake, IL. left us far too soon on November 20, 2024 and our hearts are heavy with grief. Her sudden departure has left us heartbroken, and we are still coming to terms with this unimaginable loss. Caitlin was born on April 14, 1995 in McHenry County, Illinois to William "Bill" and Diane Holmes Hodges.
Caitlin was deeply loved and will be remembered for her infectious laughter and her beautiful smile. She loved to play guitar and had such a free spirit. She loved sunflowers and sea turtles. She loved to help others and truly was a tremendous soul full of love and light. Caitlin loved to travel and made friends everywhere she went. She adored her family, and she brought warmth, kindness, and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Caitlin had a deep love for all animals which reflected her gentle, compassionate spirit.
Caitlin is preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Holmes and her sister, Jessica Hodges.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Bill and Diane Hodges; her sister, Mandy Hodges; her nephews, Caden Kingston and Bentley Hodges; her niece, Alexis Kingston, as well as many extended family members and numerous friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude for the enormous outpouring of love and support for Caitlin. Your love and kindness over the past few months have meant more than words can express, and they could never thank you enough
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 3pm to 6pm at First Congregational Church, Shaper Hall, 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
