Carol Knutsen

Carol Marie Courtney Knutsen, born on September 25, 1942 in Bronx, NY, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2020 in Raleigh, NC at the age of 77.

Carol lived most of her life in Hudson County, New Jersey and was a beloved mother, wife, and sister. She was loved by many and had a reputation as a hard worker who was dedicated to her family. As a waitress, Carol was known to many as the best in the business and her customers loved her.

In 2000, Carol moved to Mesa, AZ to be with her sister Loretta Lequin. While in Arizona, she loved working at the Circle K as a cashier and taking care of her dog Maxie. In 2010, she moved to Raleigh, NC to be with her son, Kenny and daughter-in-law, Chelsea. She loved listening and dancing to music by Elvis and George Strait.

Carol is survived by her children Lisa A. Knoche and son-in-law David Knoche, Edward A. Knutsen, Kenneth J. Knutsen and daughter-in-law Chelsea; grandchildren Alex, Natalie, Heather, and Jason; great-grandchildren Elijah and Canaan, sister Rita Sparacio, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by parents John Courtney and Mary Reiner, sisters Regina and Loretta, and brothers John and Eugene.
