Carole Marianna Lumia, 79 passed away peacefully at her home September 07,2024.
Carole was born in Scotland, came to the United States on the Queen Mary with her parents Joseph and Agnes Gorecki. She grew up in New York City where she met her future husband, Jimmy, they were married 55 years. The story goes that she saw him at white castle hamburgers and fell in love with his eyes and car. They went on to have 2 children, relocated to North Carolina where they lived out their lives together.
Carole was a selfless person who always put others first. She did without to make sure that everyone was being taken care of. She was loyal, always there to listen or offer support. She had a lasting impact on people who were fortune to have known her. She will forever be missed. She was talented in decorating and design, avid dog lover, loved to laugh and loved her wine.
Survived by her 2 children Jeff (Dina) Lumia, Natasha (Scott) Cunningham; her 4 grand children Nicholas, Joseph, Savannah and Ryan and her 2 fur babies Marley and Snickers.
