In Loving Memory of Christa Sithes
October 6, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christa Sithes on October 6, 2024. Christa was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and partner, whose boundless energy and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Christa is survived by her devoted family: her brother, Chaz Sithes; her loving parents, Conni Sithes and Ed Sithes; her stepmother, Kim Sithes; and her nephews, Harley and Rocco, who adored her. She also leaves behind her cherished best friend, Rebecca Harden-Gastaldo; her devoted partner, Chris Krieger; and her faithful companion, Skyler, her beloved dog. Her extended family and a wide circle of friends will forever feel the loss of her presence.
Christa’s life was a testament to creativity, passion, and love for the world around her. A talented cook, she found joy in bringing people together around a table, filling her home with the warmth of shared meals and laughter. Her love of nature was ever-present—whether tending to her garden, exploring new hiking trails, or traveling to new and exciting places. Wherever she went, Skyler, her loyal companion, was always by her side, making each adventure even more special.
Her adventurous soul and vibrant personality were matched only by her compassion and kindness. She had an innate ability to make those around her feel seen and loved. Christa’s smile could light up a room, and her joy for life was contagious. She gave her whole heart to everything she did, and her memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul…"
Christa's unconquerable spirit lives on in the love and memories she leaves behind. May her soul rest in peace, and may her adventurous light guide us always.
We are having a small gathering to honor her life at Annie Wilkerson Nature Preserve, October 19th from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to Saving Grace Animal Rescue.
