When I was young and grew up on Staten Island, New York my grandmother and grandfather and several aunts and uncles and cousins Christopher lived in King Park Long Island. Summers spent on Long Island gave me some of the most amazing childhood memories, memories that will last for A lifetime. I remember many fun beach days on fire Ireland, and sunken Meadow State Park with my cousins. Chris was the youngest and always a real firecracker always laughing and having a good time. When the Bowens family moved upstate New York, we visited several times and I always had a blast because it was my escape from living on Staten Island to going up to the woods ride go karts and shoot squirrels and shit that you just don’t Do live in New York city.in our Adult lives unfortunately we lost touch but just about 5 months ago Chris called me and we caught up on a lot of great childhood memories ! I’m so glad that he reached out to me before he passed , he never even mentioned that he was sick he just Wanted to know how I was and to offer condolences for the passing of my mom. Mr. Bowens was a very good customer of First National Bank. I noticed that we haven't seen him in a while. He will be missed by all of us here at the Garner Branch. That radiant smile. May the family be comforted in this time.
