Doris Jenkins

Ms. Doris Ann Jenkins, 74, of Rolesville passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 12, 2022. She was born to Mr. Silas Thorne and Mrs. Larcine Yarborough Thorne on January 26, 1948.

Doris was a CNA for 42 years and thoroughly enjoyed her job. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was an active member at Friendship Worship Center in Mt. Vernon, NY. She will be missed tremendously by all her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alton Lee Jenkins Sr.; daughter, Tischa Jenkins; sons James Carnel and Greg McMillan; her granddaughter Amber Isaac; and her siblings Phyllis Thorne, Hattie Greene, Michael Thorne and Arthur Thorne.

Doris is survived by her children, Keisha Jenkins, Alton Jenkins Jr.(Mayra), Davon Blagmon, Marsha McMillan, Kilyu Bowden and Renita McMillan; daughter in-love Vanessa Lassiter; grandchildren, Latifa Jenkins, Alton Jenkins III.(Kimberly), Imani Williams, Sebastian Calvo-Blagmon, Crystal Hunter, Daniel Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, Juwuan Young, Daryl Young, Carletta McMillan, Shanita McMillan, Jamilya McMillan, Tessa Jenkins, Javonie Jenkins, Jamonie Jenkins, Joseph Pabellon, and Jacob Pabellon; great-grandchildren, Heaven Jenkins, Alton Jenkins IV., Angel Jenkins, Jaziah Jenkins, Janiya Jenkins, Hunter Maynard and Kanye Maynard; siblings, Betty Mann, Shirley Thorne, Larry Thorne and Edward Thorne; her best friend Helen Warren, uncle Cleveland Yarborough and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. in Louisburg. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Kristin Lassiter will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00p.m. Repass will be held at the home, 400 Grand Rock Way, third floor Rolesville NC 27571 immediately following the service.
