Harley Rackley

December 14, 1937 – November 1, 2021

Harley Wayne Rackley of Ocala, Florida went home to Jesus on November 1, 2021, at age 83.

Wayne was born to the late Harley and Louise Rackley, December 14, 1937, in Atlanta, GA. He was grateful to be raised in the 1950's and loved everything about it.

Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He spent his life serving in the church and community. He was a faithful member and had served the Lord for several years at Christ's Church of Marion County when the Lord called him home.

In addition to his faith, Wayne was a dedicated and loving father and husband. Wayne was a US Army veteran. After working at Life of Virginia Insurance Company for 33 years, Wayne enjoyed retired life with his wife Linda, of 49 years, in Ocala, Florida. Together they raised five children, Michael, David, Kevin, Brett, and Lyndi. His family was the most important thing to him and his greatest joy. He loved music, riding his motorcycle, participating in the Tea Party and the Republican Club, and enjoyed writing editorials for the local newspaper.

Wayne joins his parents, Harley and Louise, and his brothers, Wendell and Gary in Heaven. He is survived by the following direct descendants; his wife, Linda Sanders Rackley, his sister-in-law, Juanita Rackley, his children, Michael (Nancy), David (Lisa), Kevin (Robin), Brett, and Lyndi (Mark), and his grandchildren, Annie (Paul), Stephen (Sarah), Michelle, Mackenzie, Tyler, Morgan, Macy, Amanda, Stephanie, Gabriel, and Taylor, and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held in Ocala, Florida. The date has not been set at this time.
