Kenneth William Fitzsimmons, 60, passed away on September 23, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1966, in Bay Shore, New York.
Kenneth will be missed by his beloved wife and best friend, Michelle Fitzsimmons, and his sons, Kenneth Fitzsimmons Jr. and his wife, Molly, and Kyle Fitzsimmons and his wife, Caitlin, who will carry his love and memories with them always.
His greatest joy in life was being a grandfather to his six cherished grandchildren, Charlie, Leo, Georgia, Archer, Noelle, and Mattie Fitzsimmons. The love he shared with each of them created special memories that will remain in their hearts forever.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Raye Fitzsimmons (née Hodsden), and his sister, Laura Lee Kravitz (née Fitzsimmons).
Kenneth’s greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply. He was a loved and cherished brother, uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and a steadfast friend to many. He was a hardworking man who took pride in the people he loved and the life he built with them.
He will be remembered for the love, laughter, kindness, and countless memories he gave to those closest to him. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, but the love he shared with his family and friends will remain a part of them forever. His memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared life with him.
In accordance with Kenneth’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, his family invites those who knew and loved him to honor his memory by doing what Kenneth would do: help someone in need, show kindness to others, and pass it forward in his memory. In this way, his legacy of love and generosity can continue through the lives of others.
As expressed in 2 Timothy 4:7:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
May Kenneth’s life, love, and faith continue to be a source of comfort and strength to all who mourn his passing. And may the kindness we show to others in his memory keep a piece of his spirit alive in the world.

My heart is heavy as I grieve the loss of my dear friend, Ken. He was truly one of the kindest men I have ever known. His presence brought love, warmth, and goodness into my life and into the lives of my family. I am so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross and gave me the gift of his friendship.
There are no words that can fully express how much he meant to me and my family, or how deeply he will be missed. My heart hurts knowing that I can no longer pick up the phone, or walk around the corner and see him.
But even in my grief, I have hope. ❤️🙏🏽
I do not grieve as those who have no hope, because I believe in Jesus Christ and in the promise of eternal life. I believe that death is not the end for those who belong to Christ. Ken may have left this earthly life, but I believe he is now in the presence of our Lord, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more tears.
You were our friend in this life, and because of my faith in Christ, I believe we will be friends in the life to come. I look forward to that day when, by God’s grace, we will see each other again.
I thank God for the years, the laughter, the kindness, and the friendship we shared.
Rest peacefully, my dear friend. You will never be forgotten. I love you
