Margaret Elliott

Margaret A. Elliott, 79, of Henderson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 14, 2022. She was born to the late Mr. Willis Shearin and Mrs. Margaret Bishop Shearin of Vance County.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Willis Shearin II and Robert Shearin.

She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Haines, Donna Livengood, and Janice Gillespie; four sisters, Marie Dement, Sandra Haines, Kim Oliver and Wendy Degard; eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Margaret will be remembered for her love of Nascar. She had so much passion and enthusiasm when watching the Nascar races. She also enjoyed playing Bingo at the VFW with her family, and crocheting. She adored her family and her church. She was incredibly unselfish and devoted to her family. She was a woman of pride, dignity and respect and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 11:00am at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 30 S. Oliver Drive (intersection of US 1 and Warrenton Rd.), Henderson, NC 27537.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to First Cremation Society.
