In loving memory

Mary Reynolds

December 1, 1934 – October 11, 2020

Mary Victoria Reynolds passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the age of 85 while in loving care at her daughter's home in Apex, North Carolina. She was born on December 1, 1934 in Queens, New York to Michael and Mary Mazza. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary lived most of her life in Lynbrook, New York before moving to Cary, North Carolina in 2011.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frost Halberstadt; sons, William J. Frost (Joanne) and Michael C. Frost (Jackie); grandchildren, Levi Halberstadt, Lauren Seaberg, MJ Halberstadt, Caitlin Frost, Stephen Frost, and Arielle Frost; great-grandchildren, Sienna and Brayden Seaberg; and Leonard Miragliuolo. Her family knew her as "Mimi" or "Gigi", and sent her love from all over the world. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, William Frost and Bruce Reynolds; and sister, Antoinette Mazza Balzano (Jack).

Mimi/Gigi loved laughing, watching series on her beloved big-screen TV, completing puzzles, playing cards, reading, listening to music and trading books. Some of her favorite memories include family holidays, and an unforgettable cruise on the Queen Mary II. Her family will especially remember her candid sense of humor and, in keeping with her nature, will reflect on her life together privately.

No matter how old we are, the loss of a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart will know. Her goodness, caring and wisdom will live on as a legacy of love that will always stay with you. Mike, you have a talent, may your musical notes rise to the heavens to honor her memory. May you feel comfort in knowing that your friends are here for you. With heartfelt sympathy, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rufus (Hurricane) Johnson Jr.

Mike, I'm sorry to learn of your mother's passing, Losing a parent is really hard but my experience was that the passing of my mother was much harder, much deeper, and much more painful. I don't know why. My hope for you is that in time, the grief that you now feel will ease and that you will be buoyed by and draw comfort from the memories of the special relationship that sons have with their mothers. Peace my friend. Kevin McGraw

Aunt Mary was sweet, funny, loving and just a joy to be around. I was honored she still let me call her family. May the angels welcome her in and may she forever rest in peace.

Dear Mary, Billy & Mike, We are so surprised and saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. We have many great memories of her from years ago. One that sticks out clearly in our minds is sitting around the table having dinner and then playing cards in the kitchen of the Summit Ave. house. May she rest in peace and know that she was a great woman! With sympathy and love, Gary & Maryellen Occhipinti

I call her mom. She was the second mother to me throughout some very intense years of my life as a teen I’d hang around the house awaiting Marys arrival from school when I cut out and she would sit there and talk to me for an hour or two simply because she cared. I love the very much a super special lady.
