Matthew Henry Maroney Jr, of Franklinton, NC, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 in Franklinton. He was born August 13, 1951 in Pearl River, New York, a son of the late Matthew Henry Maroney, Sr., and Ruby (Bragg) Maroney.
Matthew worked for The New York State Department of Transportation. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, carving walking sticks, fishing and canoeing. Matthew was a loving person who had an infectious personality that made everyone who met him fall in love with him.
Matthew is survived by his children Matthew III, (Katherine), Tiffany, Ryan, and Kayla and two grandchildren: Matthew IV and Charlotte Grace; his identical twin brother Michael Maroney (Marie) and his brother Martin (Denise). He will be missed by all of his nieces and nephews.
A celebration on his life will be held in the near future.
