Mr. Mauro "Mario" De Jesus Obando, 88, of Youngsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10 2023 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on August 6, 1934 to the late Martin Emilio Obando Tavarez and Julia Rosa Angel Cordova in Hispania, Colombia.
Mario was always full of life. He enjoyed listening to Tango and giving everyone, he knew a nickname. He loved classic cars and enjoyed being out in nature, and he loved to watch James Dean. Being 88 years old, he had seen a lot of changes and innovations in technology and that amazed him. Mario loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a man of faith and will be missed tremendously by his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, esposa, Ana Judith Moreno; his children, hijos, Marta, Ivonne, Marion, and Andrs; grandchildren, nietos: Marcela, Juan Estaban, Oliver, Ashley, Michelle, Chelsea, Xristina, Yeison, Estefania, Steven, and Brandon; great-grandchildren, bisnietos, Sarita, Maria Clara, Kaitlyn, Mia, Scarlett, Sophia, Eleanor,and Danielito, his sister, hermana, Magnolia and sobrinos.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 pm at First Cremation Society, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549 and will be officiated by Deacon Pat Mcllmoyle.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to First Cremation Society of Louisburg.

La prdida de Mario es una gran prdida para todos los que lo conocieron, pero su memoria vivir a travs de las muchas vidas que toc. Es con gran pesar que escribo este homenaje para honrar la vida y el legado de este hombre notable. Mi abuelo era un hombre de gran carcter, sabidura y amabilidad. Vivi una vida larga y satisfactoria, y toc los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron. Era un hombre dedicado a su familia que valoraba a sus seres queridos por encima de todo. Siempre estaba dispuesto a escuchar, a brindar una mano amiga o un abrazo reconfortante. El tena un entusiasmo por la vida que era contagioso. Disfrutaba de las cosas simples de la vida, como pasar tiempo con su familia, y dar largos paseos en la naturaleza. Apreciaba la belleza del mundo que lo rodeaba y estaba agradecido por cada momento que tena. Aunque ya no est con nosotros en persona, su espritu vivir a travs de las innumerables vidas que toc. Siempre ser recordado como un alma amable, gentil y un verdadero caballero. Ser profundamente extraado por todos los que lo conocieron. Descansa en paz, querido Mario. Nunca sers olvidado.
