Paul Michael Wintje, 58, of Wake Forest, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born on April 16, 1963, to Paul & Mary Wintje in Yonkers, NY.
In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his daughter: Amanda Wintje, grandsons: Taylor & Shane Affleck, siblings: Tracey Linso, Robin Crosier, Lisa Allen and Josh Wintje. Along with an abundance of other family members and friends.
He didn't go by Paul, he was always known as Mike. He touched the lives of many over the years - it was as if he knew someone wherever he went one way or another. He was an amazing man, whose laugh was contagious. Mike loved his daughter more than anything else. In 2017 he relocated from Pennsylvania to be closer to her and his grandchildren. He adored spending time with his two grandsons. While living in Wake Forest, he worked at Hobby Lobby; where he made many friends, some that turned into "family" to him. Before relocating to North Carolina, he owned "Mike Carrs Towing" in North Wales, PA. Mike always worked very hard throughout his life and had many hobbies. He loved playing softball, pool, darts, bowling, car shows, boating, fishing, football (Giants), hockey (Flyers) and much more!
The family will hold a Celebration of Life for him in Summer 2022 in Georgia. We plan to take him out on the lake one last time for a tubing ride, he could ride a tube like no one else! We will spread his ashes where he loved to be.
"I know the road you walked was anything but easy. You picked up your share of scars along the way. Oh, but now you're standing in the sun, you've fought your fight and your race is run. The pain is all a million miles away".
The impact he made on everyone will never be forgotten. We all miss and love you.
