Priscilla Gilliam

Our loving mother was called home by our God and Lord and Savior, on Sunday March 1, 2020 in her home in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 89 years, had a full and rewarding life and went peacefully in her sleep. Patsy was born September 19,1930, in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, the second daughter of Dr. Frank Leonard Ray and Ethel Woods Ray.

She will be dearly missed by her children: William Farley Gilliam Jr, his sons William Farley Gilliam III and Connor Brown Gilliam, Priscilla Gilliam Laite, her daughter Priscilla Taylor Laite, Frank Donnell Gilliam, his children Ella Donnell Gilliam and Frank Donnell Gilliam Jr: and nieces Barbara Rives Taylor and Caroline Woods Taylor and many lifelong friends. Patsy's greatest love was for her family and she was affectionately referred to as "Precious" by her five grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and family on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the home of Priscilla Laite. A private family interment will take place at a later date.

The family is most grateful for the loving hearts and hands and for her Transitions team Elaine, Cara and Patti. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
