Robert Lewis Amato, 85, passed away on June 26, 2025, in Henderson, NC. Born on June 25, 1940, Robert dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service, first as a Navy serviceman and later as a Police Officer. He later worked as a Salesman and a Hearing Aid Specialist.
Robert was known for his jovial personality, deeply cherishing his relationships with family and friends. He had a profound love for dogs - they had always been an impactful part of his life.
He leaves behind his wife, Catherine Amato; daughter, Mary Catherine Oswald; granddaughter, Emily Oswald; and sisters, Diana McCready and Deborah Burkins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte and Paul J. Amato, and his brother, Paul J. Amato Jr.
