Terry Lee Cooley (Moore)

May 9, 1955 – May 19, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love, that we announce the passing of our mother, Terry Lee Cooley (Moore), who left this world peacefully on May 19, 2025, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Born on May 9, 1955 to Stanley Conrad Moore and Violet Evelyn Moore, Terry was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness to all who knew her. Terry had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a new acquaintance, she greeted you with warmth, sincerity, and a generosity of spirit that immediately made you feel at home. Her legacy is one of love, strength, determination and delicious meals! Though she is no longer with us in person, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.

She was the beloved mother of Sierra Vick (husband Steven Vick) and Brent Cooley (wife Emily Cooley and children Harley and Marshall Parker) who surrounded her with love as she passed peacefully.

A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 27, at Crossroads Fellowship Church – Wake Forest Campus, 13029 Keith Store Rd, Wake Forest, North Carolina 27587. We invite everyone who knew and loved her to join us.

In honor of Terry, we ask that you carry forward her legacy by showing kindness, extending grace, and cherishing the time you have with those you love.

I’ll always remember Terry for the amazing meals she shared and the joy she brought into every room. Her laughter was one of a kind — full of spirit and impossible to forget. She never hesitated to offer a smile or a kind word, and she had a special way of making your day just by being herself. Her warmth and light will be deeply missed.
