Terry Whitley

Terry Lee Ramsey Whitley, 66 of Youngsville passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. She was born on April 14, 1953 at Ft. Jackson, SC to Patty Fay B. Ramsey and the late Lt. Col. LeRoy S. Ramsey, Jr. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Major LeRoy S. Ramsey, III "Butch" and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Terry attended Hardbarger Business School in Raleigh. She went to work at NC Employment Security Commission retiring after 30 years. She loved telling stories of her travels when she was young with her father being in the military. Spending time with her two dear friends Marikay and Jenny that shared in her childhood antics which we won't mention. She was known as an "Army Brat". She also had a love of animals and antiques.

In addition to her mother, Terry is survived by her husband Lee Whitley; sister-in-law, Judy Ramsey; niece, Laura Faye Ramsey Thieben and husband Jake; nephew, LeRoy "Lee" Ramsey, IV; two uncles and several cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held in the visitation suite at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549 on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00pm.
